Our Beginner Magic Workshop offers the perfect blend of fun and learning, designed especially for young, aspiring magicians. Whether they are looking to impress their friends, develop a new hobby, or take the first step towards becoming a magician, this workshop is the perfect starting point. This hands-on session introduces your child to the foundational principles of magic, covering essential techniques and simple yet astonishing tricks.
Led by Award Winning Magician, James Piatt, your child will learn the secrets behind classic card tricks, mind reading and sleight of hand. Our friendly and supportive environment ensures that each participant gains confidence and skill as they explore the enchanting world of magic.

The workshop will take place in the downstairs area of The Magic Corner. Parents are welcome to stay in the upstairs room for the duration of the workshop.

James has had a lifelong passion for magic. When he was 21 he made the trip to Las Vegas to attend the world famous McBride Magic & Mystery School, described as “the real life Hogwarts”
Since then, James has consistently won magic awards for the past 15 years. Many for his skill as a close-up magician and his ability to create brand new magic with outside the box presentations. In early 2024 James received the honour of being elected as the President of the Newcastle Magic Circle!
